NEW DELHI, Aug 30: The Indian Foreign Secretary Shyam Saran arrives in Islamabad on Wednesday on a three-days official visit to discuss a host of issues with his Pakistani counterpart.
According to the Press Trust of India, Foreign Secretary Shyam Saran and his Pakistani counterpart, Riaz Mohammad Khan would hold wide ranging talks on issues of mutual interest, and bilateral relations between the two countries.
The progress of the second round of talks would also be reviewed during their meeting including taking further the dialogue in a conducive manner.
Meanwhile, Shyam Saran has issued a statement in New Delhi, in which he has expressed optimism and progress in some vital issues under discussion between the two neighbours.
He said that the dialogue should continue, however he did suggest some changes in the modus operandi in the way it is conducted.—Online
