According to Punjab health department spokesperson Qaiser Asif, the total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in the province have reached 1,196.

Of those 1,196, 537 were local transmissions, 312 from zaireen centres across the province and 347 were associated with the Tableeghi Jamaat.

Among the zaireen, 213 were in Dera Ghazi Khan, 91 in Multan, 5 in Faisalabad.

Among the preachers from Tableeghi Jamaat, 303 were part of Raiwind Markaz, 3 from Mandi Bahauddin, Sargodha 13, Vihari 13, Rawalpindi 6, Nankana 2, Gujrat 5 and 2 are from Rahimyar Khan.

The spokesman added that Lahore's 220 confirmed cases were highest in the province thus far.
