Fine knocks by Farhan, Abid

KARACHI, Aug 30: Fine batting by Farhan Iftikhar and Agha Abid propelled Rabnawaz English School to a comprehensive 158-run victory over Nasra School in the KCCA Inter-school cricket tournament at the Landhi Gymkhana ground on Monday.

Farhan, who struck 74 with two fours and three sixes, and Abid (73 with seven fours) shared a fifth-wicket partnership of 152 to help Rabnawaz School reach 264 for eight in their 50 overs.

Nasra, in reply, crashed to 106 all out in 35 overs.

Meanwhile, slow left-armer Sharjeel Razzaq inspired Jinnah Secondary School to a narrow two-wicket win against CAA Model School No 2 at the TMC ground.

Sharjeel grabbed four for 15 as CAA Model were bowled out for 120 in the 38th over. Mudassar Manzoor also bowled well to claim three for 20.

Jinnah Secondary lost wickets regularly but managed to reach their target by scoring 121 for eight in 37 overs.
