A young man who was Pakistan's first coronavirus patient and recovered from the disease has donated plasma for the possible treatment of critically ill Covid-19 patients, the Express Tribune reported.

According to the report, Children’s Hospital Karachi CEO Dr Saqib Ansari while addressing a press conference with the patient requested the government to permit the use of plasma for coronavirus treatment.

He said that plasma infusion in critical Covid-19 patients has yielded excellent results in other countries.
