CII advises govt: Don't arrest mosque imams, seek their cooperation

The Council of Islamic Ideology has advised the government not to arrest imams of mosques while enforcing restrictions on prayer congregations.

Instead, its chairman said, the authorities should seek the imams' cooperation so that they become a part of the government's campaign to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
