Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) Chairman Dr Qibla Ayaz has endorsed the decisions taken by the government regarding restricting prayer congregations.

In a press release issued after an emergency meeting of the council, he said the CII "expects people ... to offer prayers at home to ensure social distancing".
