The vessels, Al-Mohammadi-II and Al-Qadri, were received by Syed Fahad Burney, Syed Sarim Burney, and volunteers Mehnaz Anwar, and Qadir Ahmed.
They travelled in two boats. Most of them were sick, and were provided food and clothes by the trust. Later, they were released by the FIA.
They left the Muscat border on Friday and travelled for about four days, many of them have been suffering from diarrhoea. The job seekers, most of them illiterate hailed from the upcountry, and had been smuggled to the Gulf state through Taftan after they paid different amounts to traffickers.
According to the deportees, they travelled in human traffickers’ vehicles in batches of 22 each, for two days to reach an Iranian border town.—PPI
