97 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Punjab while one more person has died from the disease in the province, according to a spokesperson for the Punjab health department.

The tally of cases in Punjab now stands at 845.

A 35-year-old woman who was suffering from a liver ailment in addition to Covid-19 died at Lahore's Mayo Hospital, marking the 11th fatality in the province. She was admitted to the hospital on Monday.
