PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif has demanded that daily meetings of Council of Common Interests be held to discuss the coronavirus health crisis, insisting that it was the "need of the hour".

He expressed concern over the "sudden increase in the number of corona patients within two days". The opposition leader also called for the provision of protective gear for doctors and medical professionals on an emergency basis.
