ISLAMABAD, Aug 27: The Pakistan Housing Authority (PHA) has so far handed over 2,500 housing units to the buyers. Talking to APP here on Saturday, a PHA official said out of the total 4,400 housing units, 1,500 had been given to the buyers and 1,000 sold in bulk to different government departments.
The official said construction work on the remaining 1,900 housing units had been completed and these would be handed over to the buyers by December this year.
He said the authority had launched 18 housing projects in Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi and Peshawar. Answering a question, he said release of funds and provision of utility services like electricity, gas and water were some of the impediments to prompt handing over of these housing units.—APP
