KARACHI: KESC notifies shutdown

KARACHI, Aug 27: A large number of localities will remain without power on Sunday when the Karachi Electric Supply Corporation carries out development work. A KESC press release on Saturday says that it is shifting power cables of a 30MVA transformer at the Elandar Road grid station. It adds that the power supply will remain switched off from 9am to 12 noon.

The localities which will face a power shutdown are M.A. Jinnah Road, Rimpa Plaza, Martin Road, Elandar Road, Cantonment Board, Sindh Secretariat, Sanam Medical Area, Shaheen Complex, Landhi Chawl, MES 105 and 5 Corps Headquarters, Sindhi Muslim Society Blocks A and B, PECHS Block 2, Abdullah Haroon Road, Saddar, Mehran Khan Old City Area (Lyari), I.I. Chundrigar Road and Cotton Exchange Building.
