KARACHI: Former prime minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali said on Sunday that the country’s capital was forcibly moved to Islamabad from Karachi.

He said this while talking to newsmen after meeting a delegation of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan.

The MQM-P delegation led by its convener Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui visited the Gulshan-i-Iqbal residence of former prime minister Jamali in Karachi and discussed matters pertaining to the overall political situation in the country as well as of mutual interest.

The MQM-P delegation also comprised senior leader Amir Khan, MNA Kishwar Zehra and Abdul Wasim.

Recently, the MQM-P had appreciated the stance taken by the former PM in a TV interview in which he had stressed the need for the creation of more provinces in the country as well as demanded that Karachi be made capital of Pakistan again.
