Germany and US at loggerheads over coronavirus vaccine: report
Germany and the United States are at loggerheads over a German-based company CureVac which is working on developing a vaccine for coronavirus, according to a report by German newspaper Welt am Sonntag.
The report, which quotes an unnamed source, says that US President Donald Trump is offering the scientists at the company large sums of money to secure exclusive rights to the vaccine while the German government is trying to offer them incentives to stay in Germany.
It alleges that the US president was making efforts to secure the vaccine "but only for the US".
