NEW DELHI, Aug 26: India said on Friday that there had been “noticeable progress” in the composite dialogue process but warned that to address specific and important issues the process would have to be carried forward.

Foreign Secretary Shyam Saran, who will begin a three-day visit to Pakistan on October 31, said the composite dialogue process had been “quite useful”. The Press Trust of India (PTI) quoted Mr Saran as saying that “there has been noticeable progress” in some areas.

At the end of October Mr Saran is scheduled to meet his Pakistani counterpart Riaz Muhammad Khan on the composite dialogue process.—Online
