China's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Gene Shuang, when asked if the ministry believed that the United States brought the coronavirus to Wuhan, said that the international community "has different opinions about the origin" of the novel coronavirus, Reuters reported.

On Thursday, Foreign Ministry official Zhao Lijian had said on Twitter that "it might be US army who brought the epidemic to Wuhan" — without providing evidence.
