Federal govt not prepared to fight coronavirus threat, complains Sindh CM

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has complained that the federal government does not seem to be prepared to fight against the novel coronavirus.

During a meeting with Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Health Dr Zafar Mirza, which the chief minister attended along with the Sindh coronavirus task force via video link, Shah said that his government was "fighting against the threat of coronavirus alone" and had to take "every decision individually".

The chief minister added that Sindh had detected so many cases because more people were being tested.

He pointed out that people at the Taftan border were being kept in groups, adding that it "cannot be called a quarantine". He urged the federal government to close the borders.
