KARACHI, Aug 23: Muhammad Yousuf advanced to the last 16 round of World seniors snooker championship despite losing his final league round against Geet Sethi of India 2-3, according to a message on Tuesday.

Former world amateur champion Yousuf finished runner-up in nine-man group “B” while another Pakistan entry Sarwar Siddiqui failed to make to the knockout stage of the event.

Now in Wednesday’s pre-quarterfinals Yousuf will take on John Hudson of Australia. Geet Sethi will be up against Cheung Sing of China.—APP
