Lawyers slam US attack

BUNER, Oct 14: The lawyers’ community here has strongly condemned the US and its allies for bombarding the already war-weary Afghanistan and criticized the government for its “cooperative policy.”

They said the strikes against Afghanistan ran counter with the international law of justice and general ethics.

At a meeting here the other day, the lawyers said the attack by the allies forces was actually a conspiracy hatched by the enemies of Islam and Muslims.

They argued that neither a figure like Osama nor a country like Afghanistan could orchestrate a plan to hit America. It was, instead, masterminded by the powerful Jews just to fan hatred against Muslim Umah.

They were of the view that Taliban had been brought into power by the America for her vested interests. But, as they are no more of use to the US, the latter had decided to dethrone the Taliban. They cautioned Musharraf to be careful as the US had a history of turning its back on its friends.

The meeting decided to take out a procession on Monday to express their anguish.
