KARACHI: Passports sought

KARACHI, Aug 19: Pursuing the policy of federal government on repatriation of foreign students studying in religious seminaries of Pakistan, the Sindh government has dispatched letters to various religious institutions asking them to hand over passports of such pupils to respective district police officers for making necessary arrangements.

In a letters addressed to Moulana Abdul Rasheed of Darul Uloom Hussainia, Shahdadpur on Aug 16), Mr Rasheed Alam, the Additional Secretary of Sindh Home Department, asked him to submit passports and other relevant documents of 57 foreign students studying there.

The DPO Sanghar has also been asked to contact Moulana Abdul Rasheed to expedite the matter.—PPI
