Notice to FIA on TikTok girl’s plea against summons

LAHORE: A sessions court issued notice to cyber crime wing of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on a petition by TikTok fame girl Sandal Khattak against alleged harassment and summons issued to her.

Through her counsel, Khattak pleaded that she was a law-abiding citizen and got fame on TikTok, an android social media video application. She said she had never been involved in any illegal activity but the FIA started issuing her summons following some unknown inquiries.

She said the agency had not disclosed any reason for issuing her the summons. She asked the court to restrain the FIA from causing her and her family harassment and also to set aside the summons.

Additional District & Sessions Judge Misbah Khan heard initial arguments of the counsel and sought a reply from cyber crime wing of the FIA by Feb 4.

FAISAL VAWDA: A lawyer on Thursday filed an application in the sessions court seeking registration of a criminal case against PTI MNA Faisal Vawda allegedly for disrespecting the institution of army by showing a “boot” in a television talk show.

Advocate Rana Nauman said he filed an application with Civil Lines police station for lodging an FIR but the police were reluctant to act in accordance with law.

He sought a court’s direction to the police to register a case against the parliamentarian for bringing dishonour to the state institution.

Additional District & Sessions Judge Saifullah Hanjra will take up the petition on Friday (today).
