KARACHI, Aug 18: Pakistan veteran cueist Muhammad Yousuf notched-up his third win in the Seniors World Snooker Championship in Manama (Bahrain) by beating Peter Bertens of Netherlands, according to message received on Thursday.
Former World Amateur champion Yousuf dropped the second frame before registering 59-27, 54-41, 87-0, 59-33 victory which included a break of 72 in the penultimate frame. Yousuf is tied for the top slot with Geet Sethi of India in nine-men group “B”.
However, Pakistan’s other player Sarwar Siddiqui suffered 1-3 defeat at the hands of Dene O’Kane of New Zealand. Sarwar started well by picking the first frame but went down 18-64, 71-2, 62-0, 54-9 as O’Kene showed controlled potting.—APP
