RAWALPINDI: People were deprived of cash, mobile phones and prize bonds in the city in seven robberies on Sunday, police said.

Mohammad Noman complained to Saddar Bairooni police that he was on his way home when two persons blocked his way and snatched Rs15,400 and a mobile phone at gunpoint and escaped.

Faisal Riaz told the police that five armed robbers entered his house and fled with Rs15,000 and three LCDs.

Mohammad Altaf, a grocery shop owner, complained to the Taxila police that he was sitting at his shop when four gunmen entered and snatched Rs10,000 and escaped.

Syed Khuram Shah complained to the Cantt police that he was visiting his in-laws’ house when three robbers held him at gunpoint and snatched Rs11,600, prize bonds valuing Rs25,000 and registration book of his car and fled.

Kafeel Ghori, a resident of Naseerabad, complained to the police that he was going towards a private housing society along with his three friends when robbers snatched four mobile phones and Rs57,000 from him and his friends and escaped.

Khabar Khan, a grocery super store owner in Dhoke Naju was robbed of Rs100,000 and a mobile phone by three robbers.

In the City police area, Haris Iqbal was deprived of his mobile phone by two persons.
