GUJRANWALA, Aug 13: A seven-feet-long snake created panic when it entered the Income Tax department’s refund section located near Upper Chenab canal on the GT Road, forcing the staff to leave the office here on Saturday.

Reports said the staff was busy doing routine office work, when the snake entered the section. On knowing about the snake, the staff members left the office in panic and nobody dared to enter the building.

Even the guards deployed outside the office could not verify that whether the snake had left the building or not.

However, the office administration has hired the services of a snake-charmer for killing or catching the snake alive.

KILLED: A landlord was killed by his neighbour over a petty issue in Qila Mian Singh on Saturday.

Reports said that the landlord, Saeed Butt, tied his buffalo in front of one Allah Ditta’s house, which sparked a brawl between the two neighbours. Allah Ditta allegedly attacked and killed Saeed on the spot. Police have registered the case and are investigating.
