TI, PML-N men join PML

LAHORE, Aug 12: Some activists of the PML-N and the Tehrik-i-Insaaf called on Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi here on Friday and joined the ruling PML. Prominent among them were PML-N Sports Wing president Manzoor Mani, union council 131 president Mrs Musarrat Butt and secretary-general Haji Hidayat, and Lahore Tehrik-i-Insaaf secretary-general Yasmin Gilani.

The chief minister said the PML was the only party which was popular all over the country and that was why workers and activists of other political parties were joining it.

He said assembling of all patriotic people on a single platform was a good omen and it would further cement the political system in the country.

He said the fortification of the PML was giving additional strength to the reform agenda of the government. The government was carrying forward its social justice programme to improve the lot of common man.

Those who joined the PML said they were impressed by the reform agenda of the chief minister. They said they would play an active role in the party’s membership drive.
