KARACHI, Aug 12: Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad visited various areas of the city on Friday during which he laid the foundation stones of an alternate road for Qasba-Orangi towns and rehabilitation of Mirza Adam Khan Road.

During the visit, the governor went to various congested areas including Lyari, Lea Market, Baldia, Ranchore Line, Bhimpura, Kharadar, Jamila Street and Timber Market and had an appraisal about civic conditions.

He laid the foundation stone of Qasba-Orangi tunnel and approach road, linking Shahrah-i-Noorjehan and Manghopir Road.

The project will have a 12km long tunnel and road. It would be completed at a cost of Rs139 million in 6 months.

Earlier Dr Ibad laid the foundation stone of rehabilitation and reconstruction project of Mirza Adam Khan Road in Lyari.

From Mauripur Road to Dhobhi Ghat, 4km long road will be constructed at a cost of Rs120 million and completed in six months.
