Shadman SHO suspended

LAHORE, Aug 11: The Shadman police SHO was suspended from service on charges of mistreating and humiliating a journalist. Issuing the suspension orders, Lahore city police chief DIG Tariq Saleem directed Model Town SP to complete an inquiry against the SHO in three days and submit findings.

Magazine editor Tanvir Shahid of an Urdu daily who left his office on Wednesday night was intercepted by a police patrol with the SHO, inspector Adnan Muzaffar, in command.

Although the journalist introduced himself, the SHO not only misbehaved with him but also took him to the police station.
