Mice chew up Rs31,000 currency notes

KHARIAN, Jan 15: Mice chewed up savings of a local trader amounting to Rs31,000.

Mirza Fayyaz Ahmad said he had put the currency notes in a home locker. On Monday, as he opened the locker, he found the notes in shreds.

He said there were a lot of mice in the area the notes might have been chewed up by them.

He said the local bank advised him to contact the State Bank to replace the notes.—APP
