HYDERABAD, Aug 10: The University of Sindh has allocated separate seats for candidates of six new districts for academic year 2006. The districts are: Jamshoro, Matiari, Tando Allahyar, Tando Muhammad Khan, Umerkot and Qambar-Shahdadkot.

A high-level meeting of deans of faculties and officials concerned on Wednesday decided that admissions to various departments of bachelors as well as master’s degree programmes would be given under rural and urban based formula.

The meeting finalized the admission policy and schedule for admission to all institutes and departments in bachelors and masters’ programme.

The meeting decided that no fee would be increased for admission to bachelors as well as masters programmes for the new session. The meeting approved the schedule for submission of admission forms and conducting pre-entry tests.

The meeting decided that the admission process would start in the second week of September 2005.

The meeting discussed the publication of new catalogue, prospectus and admission forms with attractive look. It was also decided that those candidates who apply for admission on the basis of fake certificates would prosecuted.—BoC
