Minor bitten by stray dog

OKARA: A minor girl was bitten by a stray dog in village 2/1L in the suburbs of Renala Khurd and was admitted to the Okara DHQ Hospital.

Aaliya and her parents had gone to village 2/1L to see their relatives where she was bitten by a stray dog while playing in a street. The family rushed her to the Renala Khurd THQ Hospital from where she was referred to the DHQ hospital here for treatment.

Aaliya was administered rabies vaccine – that was supplied after a year just a fortnight ago -- besides other treatment.

Except the Okara city DHQ hospital, the rabies vaccine was not available in any public sector hospital.
