Punjab cabinet meeting tomorrow

LAHORE: The Punjab government is holding its 18th cabinet meeting on Friday (tomorrow) and scheduled to launch the Punjab Forest Policy 2019 and close the Sasti Roti Authority.

The cabinet is also set to take up the issue of operating Speedo Bus from Bahawalpur to Lodhran. It will revise fares for non A/C public transport.

While discussing the 22-point agenda, the cabinet will take up the matter of constitution of the Punjab Local Government Finance Commission and confirmation of appointment of Iftikhar Taj Mian as non-official member of the Management Committee of the Punjab Pension Fund.

The cabinet will take up agenda items of the forest and wildlife departments for approval of draft Punjab Wildlife Protected Areas Act, 2019; establishment of Kalabagh Private Game Reserve district Mianwali under section 20 of the Punjab Wild Life Act; enhancement of Possession License Fee of Grey and Black Partridge; amendments in Punjab Urial Conservation, Protection and Trophy Hunting (Committees) Rules 2016; inclusion of Brown Bear in third schedule of Punjab Wildlife (Protection, Preservation, Conservation and Management) (Amendment) Act, 2007.

The cabinet will discuss local government department’s draft of the Punjab Multi-Storey Building (Rights and Ownership and Maintenance) Act, 2019.

It is also set to approve the establishment of Times Institute, Multan; and the draft bill 2019 for the University of Technology, Rawalpindi.

Besides, it will discuss amendments to the Punjab Border Military Police and Baloch Levy Service Rules, 2009; and minutes of meeting of the Traffic Management Reforms – Provincial Motor Vehicles Amendment Bill, 2019; and amendments in Tables of Registration fee of Registration Act, 1908.

The cabinet will also discuss the request for transfer of land in Mandi Town Darya Khan for Lawyers Chamber.
