KARACHI, Jan 14: Opener Agha Sabir hit an unbeaten 152 as Karachi Blues made Rest of Sindh toiled on the first day of the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy Grade-I fixture at KCCA Stadium here Monday.
The young left-hander struck 22 fours and one six during his 259-ball innings which guided Karachi Blues to 267 for three at stumps after Rest of Sindh skipper Hanif-ur-Rehman won the toss and opted to field first.
Sabir and fellow left-hander Asim Kamal were involved in a 122-run third wicket partnership that ended in the penultimate over of the day when the latter was held at point for 51.
Asim, who made 104 against Balochistan last week, stroked five boundaries.
Earlier, Sabir and Ashraf Ali (21) shared an opening stand worth 65 while Naumanullah (29) helped Sabir put on 78 for the second wicket.
