LAHORE, July 31: Former PML president Mian Muhammad Azhar alleges that the government is interfering in local elections. In a press statement on Sunday, he said as the chances of their candidates’ defeat were growing, the rulers were getting nervous.
He said the local elections were a fight between people and what he called anti-people rulers.
Azhar warned of a public reaction in case the government tried to influence results.
In his opinion solution to people’s problems lay in the establishment of a democratic and representative government.—Staff Reporter
