LAHORE, July 29: The 349th meeting of the Senate of the Punjab University will be held after about three years on Monday. Punjab Governor Khalid Maqbool, who is the chancellor of the university, will preside over the meeting. Education Minister Imran Masood will also attend the meeting.
The meeting will approve the establishment of new constituent colleges and restructuring of existing faculties. The faculty members will also elect two candidates for the syndicate and one for the finance and planning committee.
The Senate will also approve the university’s last five years budget. The respective bodies of the board of studies, board of faculties, academic council, finance and planning committee and the syndicate had already approved the agenda of the senate meeting.
The professors, chairpersons, deans, directors, principals, board of chairmen from the education department, prof emirates and EDOs of various departments will participate in the meeting.
