Angelina Jolie returns in Maleficent

Angelina Jolie dons horns and wings once again in the first teaser trailer for Disney’s upcoming villain-focused sequel, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil.

The clip returns audiences to the fantasy world of Sleeping Beauty as the wicked Maleficent (Jolie) is reunited with Princess Aurora (Princess Aurora), whom she previously cursed. Maleficent also comes into conflict with Queen Ingrith (Michelle Pfeiffer) and is featured using her powerful magic.

“The film continues to explore the complex relationship between the horned fairy and the soon-to-be queen as they form new alliances and face new adversaries in their struggle to protect the moors and the magical creatures that reside within,” reads the synopsis.

Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, from director Joachim Ronning, is set to arrive in theatres on October 18.
