KARACHI, July 19: Seven ships carrying containers and loading rice are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources. The berthing activity at the wharves remained modest where three ships, Yang Jiang Men Elbe Oldedroff to unload and load container, and Virgo Leader to offload vehicles, were berthed after the departure of five.

The ships, which departed included Bunga Terabek,

Yang Jiang Men, Virgo Leader, Dubai Gold and Johaart Qatar, while Thor Captain, Global Princess, Germana, New Igulinhari, Swat and APL Pusan are due to sail out on Wednesday.

The cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage of 0.102 tons comprising 13,029 tons of export cargo and 87,921 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Wednesday: Caroline-7, with 8,500 tons of palm oil, Kota Tabah, Hyundai Advance, Y.M. Energy, Kota Wangi and Kuo Hung, with containers, and Santa FA, to load 14,000 tons of rice.
