LONDON, July 13: South African Test paceman Andre Nel has signed to play for English county side Essex as a temporary overseas player, the club announced on Wednesday.

Nel, who celebrates his 28th birthday on Friday, will replace Andre Adams while the all-rounder is away with New Zealand during their scheduled One-day International series in Zimbabwe.—AFP
