KARACHI: Opener Javeria Rauf excelled with a brisk half-century as State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) surprised Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited (ZTBL) on the last ball by five wickets in the second Inter-departmental T20 Women’s Cricket Champion in Islamabad on Thursday.

After being put into bat at the Diamond Club Ground, ZTBL collected 136-6 before Javeria hit 60 off 50 balls with five fours and one six to steer SBP to 137-5.

Meanwhile, In a match reduced to 19 overs per side, PCB XI trounced HEC by eight wickets.

Thursday’s results:

SBP beat ZTBL by five wickets.

ZTBL 136-6 in 20 overs (Muneeba Ali 36, Javeria Wadood Khan 21; Hafsa Amjad 2-24); SBP 137-5 in 20 overs (Javeria Rauf 60, Sidra Amin 30, Hafsa Amjad 21; Almas Akram 2-20).

PCB XI beat HEC by eight wickets.

HEC 97-7 in 19 overs (Tooba Hasan 41; Naila Nazir 2-18, Waheeda Akhtar 2-36); PCB XI 99-2 in 15.4 overs (Ayesha Nasim 52 not out).
