HYDERABAD, July 7: Chief Justice of Sindh High Court, Justice Sabihuddin Ahmed, said that more attention should be paid to improving infrastructure in rural areas to ensure that justice was provided to people speedily. He was speaking at the inaugural ceremony of newly constructed Civil Court building in Hala on Wednesday evening. The chief justice said that towns and municipal committees of Sindh had been deprived of infrastructure facilities required for social development. He said the people of these areas deserved better facilities for speedy justice.
The chief justice said that he and his colleagues, especially Justice Attaur Rehman, were taking personal interest in getting the new building completed even before the stipulated period.
Expressing his satisfaction over construction of the civil court building, Justice Attaur Rehman, who is also the chairman of the Development Committee of Sindh High Court, said it was the first step towards Access to Justice Programme (AJP).
He said that work on a number of such buildings and facilities was in progress, and after implementation of the AJP the people of the province would get speedy justice.
The President of Hyderabad Bar Association, Chaudhry Bashir Ahmed, welcomed the guests and briefed them about problems of employees and litigants.
He thanked Chief Justice Sabihuddin Ahmed and Justice Attaur Rehman for taking personal interest in resolving these problems.
Justice Ghulam Rabbani, Justice Musheer Alam, Justice Khiljee Arif Hussain, Justice Ameer Hani Muslim, members of the Hyderabad Bar Association and secretary and chief engineer of the Building Department, Faisal Saud and Saindad Solangi, attended the ceremony.
SANGHAR: The Chief Justice of Sindh High Court, Justice Sabihuddin Ahmed, inaugurated a new judicial complex at the premises of sessions courts in Sinjhoro on Thursday.
Justice Attaur Rehman also accompanied him.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief justice said that a library and a bar room would be constructed in every district for the benefit of judges and lawyers.
A sum of Rs18.09 million was being spent on the construction of new judicial complex.
Later, the chief justice also inaugurated civil court building in Khipro, constructed at a cost of Rs9.013 million.
