PTI govt termed civil dictatorship

MITHI: Sindh Taraqqi-pasand Party (STP) chairman Dr Qadir Magsi has said that a civil dictatorship has been imposed on people by bringing the Imran Khan-led PTI government in the country.

Addressing a press conference at Thar Press Club late on Saturday evening, Dr Magsi remarked that the PTI government had lost credibility .

He said the federal government was controlling the media and freedom of the expression, adding that such undemocratic moves were fast creating unrest and a sense of alienation among the saner elements, who pinned high hopes on Imran Khan. He said the PTI government instead of bringing any change had made the lives of people miserable across the country by rising prices.

He said the PTI government and its leaders were not aware of the feelings of the youth who had supported them, especially after the decision of government to muzzle their voice on social media.

Dr Magsi said the Sindh government had miserably failed in providing any relief to the drought-stricken Tharis despite spending billions of rupees on projects which were only benefiting those affiliated with ruling party.

In reply to a question, he said people voted for the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) considering that those who had joined the Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) more dangerous. The PPP leadership always took full political advantage because there was no alternate to the party in Sindh, he added.
