NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, July 4: A large number of Solangi tribesmen took out a procession from Chohan Colony in Moro on Monday against the in charge of CIA of Naushahro Feroze. The procession marched through different roads and staged a sit-in at the toll plaza of the National Highway for two hours. They alleged that the CIA in charge of Naushahro Feroze, Lal Bux Deepar, who was recently transferred from Moro, was torturing and pressuring them on the pretext that some of their relatives had been cheating people.
The protesters, led by Qadir Machhi, Manzoor, Ghulam Shabbir, Mai Meran, Mai Adni and Sodhi, were carrying sticks in their hands.
Chairman of District Public Safety and Police Complaint Commission, Mohammad Khan Korai, rushed to the spot and assured the protesters of justice after which they dispersed.
ROBBED: A senior lawyer was deprived of cash and valuables in Naushahro Feroze town on Sunday night.
Reports said that some unidentified people entered the house of the lawyer, Mohammad Nawaz Gondal, and information officer Mohammad Moosa Gondal, and robbed them of valuables.
COPS BEATEN UP: Three police constables were beaten up by some 12 persons on main the chowk in Bhirya on Monday.
Reports alleged that residents of Kot Bahadur beat up police constables of Bhirya police station, Abdul Rasheed Naich, Yasin Mangrio and Awais Mangrio and their friend Nadeem on the Main chowk of Bhirya.
Bhirya police have lodged an FIR against Bachal Shah, Qasim Shah, Naban Shah and Meeral Shah.
