DHAKA, July 1: Some 200 passengers narrowly escaped unhurt, as an international flight of the Biman Bangladesh Airlines skidded off the runway of Shah Amanat International Airport in Bangladesh’s southeast port city of Chittagong owing to inclement weather Friday morning.
The airliner with about 200 passengers and crew on board came from Dubai and was on its way to Dhaka..
Immediately after the mishap, the Civil Aviation Authority closed the airport for two days.
