RIYADH, June 28: The Saudi government on Tuesday released a fresh list of 36 ‘most wanted’ men suspected of involvement in planning acts of terror. “Security authorities have managed to uncover plans by the deviant group who used themselves as a tool to distort Islam and harm the security of the country,” the interior ministry said in an allusion to the Al Qaeda group.

The ministry said 15 of the 36 were believed to be in Saudi Arabia. The whereabouts of the others were unknown.

Twenty-nine of the men on the list are Saudis and three are from Chad. The other four are a Moroccan, a Kuwaiti, a Yemeni and a Mauritanian.
