LAHORE, June 22: The Punjab Bar Council said on Wednesday that its opinion was not incorporated by the Senate while amending the Legal Practitioners and Bar Councils Act, 1973.

PBC vice-chairperson Asghar Ali Gill told Dawn the Senate standing committee, constituted to consider the bill for amendments to the law, invited him with only one-day margin.

He requested the committee to give him more days. This request was not entertained, and the amendment was approved without incorporating the opinion of the largest bar council of the country.— Correspondent
