MITHI, June 22: Arbab Imdad Ali, resident of Bhukrio village, has appealed to the chief justice of the Supreme Court of Pakistan and the chief justice of the High Court of the Sindh, to take suo motu action on what he called unlawful and illegal arrest of his father, Mohammad Haroon, a high school teacher, by the anti-corruption establishment in a fabricated case.
In telegrams sent to government officers, Mr Imdad Ali has alleged that the Anti-Corruption Establishment, Mithi, had picked up his father on June 21 from his house and implicate him in a false case due to political enmity with the Sindh Chief Minister, Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim.
Imdad Ali has further contended in the telegram that his grandfather Murad Ali is already detained in the Central Jail, Hyderabad, under MPO 3(1).
The applicant has prayed for action, protection and justice.
When contacted, the circle officer, anti-corruption, Mithi, said that Mohammad Haroon was arrested by the ACE in a case of alleged embezzlement/misuse of School Management Funds.
