CHITRAL, Jan 10: The leaders of PPP, Chitral, Ahmed Saeed and Gul Nawaz Khaki, have opposed the land settlement in the district which is scheduled to commence from next month.

In a joint press statement, they said there was absolutely no need of land settlement as the landholdings were very small and well-defined.

They said the peaceful atmosphere of the area would be disturbed and the process would spark off bickerings on petty matters of land settlement.
