KARACHI, June 16: The coordination committee of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement on Thursday alleged that the recent spate of violence in the city was part of a conspiracy to destabilize the provincial government and sabotage the upcoming local government elections.

In a statement referring to violence in Ranchore Lines area during the past two days of killing, it called upon party workers not to get provocative.

It deplored the killing of people and suicide attacks on places of worships.
