SUKKUR, June 15: The first judicial magistrate of Sukkur on Wednesday raided the Site police station and recovered four persons, including the son of SNP leader Muneer Ahmed Shaikh, who had been kept in illegal confinement for the last seven days. Feroz Ahmed, a cousin of Sameer Ahmed Shaikh, 14, filed a petition in the district and sessions court, Sukkur, stating that seven days ago a police party had raided the house of Muneer Ahmed Shaikh, the SNP leader, and arrested his son Sameer. The police had kept him in illegal confinement during the last seven days.
Police had declined to disclose his whereabouts, the petitioner said. The district and session judge ordered the judicial magistrate to raid the police station and recover Sameer.
