GUJRANWALA, June 15: A man and his six-month-old son were killed while his four other family members sustained injuries in a road accident here on Wednesday. Reports said Obaidullah was on his way to the city from Rajkot village by a motorcycle-rickshaw along with his family. Near the GT road, a speeding truck hit the rickshaw. As a result of which he and his son Phool died on the spot while four others, including his wife Rehana Bibi, sustained injuries. They were rushed to local civil hospital in a critical condition.

CONVICT DIES: A condemned prisoner who was shifted to DHQ hospital died on Wednesday.

Reports said Muhammad Arif of Bheekpur Fatumand locality had been awarded death sentence by a sessions court some few years ago. He was suffering from a liver disease and the jail authorities had shifted him to the hospital in a critical condition some two days ago. His body was handed over to his heirs following autopsy.
