DADU, June 11: Director Malaria Sindh, Dr Nawaz Ali, has said Malaria could not be controlled in the province without allocation of funds and urged the districts governments to earmark special funds in their budgets for this purpose. He was speaking at a one-day seminar at the district council hall, here on Saturday.
He proposed a 12-member committee for each district headed by the district and UC nazims, social workers and citizens as its members to create awareness about malaria among people.
He said that last year, the ratio of malaria in the country was 34 per cent which went up to 37 per cent this year.
