GUJRANWALA, June 11: Gepco engineers and linemen restored the power supply to all feeders of Fatehpur grid station (Alipur Chattha) till Friday noon. Reports said a 66-KV line tower No 46 of the grid station collapsed owing to Thursday’s night thunderstorm, suspending power supply to Ladheywala, Alipur, Verpal Chattha, Chanawan, Mancher New and Rasulnagar and other feeders.

Gepco chief executive Brig Saifullah Khalid directed the staff concerned to restore power supply immediately. At this, senior officers, the executive engineer and line staff rushed to the spot and restored the power supply after installing tubular polls at all feeders.
